CSX Railroad, 401 W. Robb, Lima, pleaded no contest to abandoned loco obstruct St. / Road. Sentence: $500 fine. Pleaded no contest to abandoned loco obstruct St. / Road. Sentence: $500 fine.
John K. Wireman, 52, of 18811 St. Rt. 196, Waynesfield, pleaded guilty to aggravated trespass. Sentence: 180 days jail, 170 suspended, $150 fine. Pleaded guilty to failure to reinstate operator license. Sentence: $250 fine.

Arraignments held in common pleas court

LIMA — The following individuals were arraigned in Adams County Common Pleas Court on Thursday following indictments handed down by a grand jury this month:
Adam C. Boeckman, 29, Lima, identity fraud, a fifth-degree felony.
Bryan S. Morlock, 36, Lima, receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony.
Wendy B. Williams, 52, Lima, theft, a fifth-degree felony.
Alexander Boudreau, 23, Lima, possession of cocaine, fifth-degree felony.
Chad W. Beagle, 39, Findlay, passing bad checks, fifth-degree felony.

 

Allen County JFS seeking renovation or relocation

LIMA — The Allen County Department of Job and Family Services is looking for a change of scenery, either within its current location or somewhere new.
Allen County Commissioners approved the advertisement of a request for proposals for the design and lease of office facilities and parking for the Allen County JFS. According to Ohio Means Jobs Allen County Workforce Development Coordinator Joe Patton, the hope is to either renovate the department’s 1501 S. Dixie Highway location or move.

LIMA — Homebuyers in the regional housing market are purchasing more and paying less, according to figures released Thursday by the Ohio Association of Realtors.

 

Safety Services committee to meet on marijuana moratorium Monday

LIMA — The Safety Services committee in Lima will be holding a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in council chambers, 50 Town Square, Lima.
This meeting will be to discuss the existing moratorium on sale, distribution and cultivation of medical marijuana in Lima.

Allen Metropolitan Housing Authority holds board meeting

LIMA — The Allen Metropolitan Housing Authority will hold a regular board meeting at noon Friday at the Allen Metropolitan Housing Authority, 600 S. Main St., Lima.
After the meeting there may be closed executive session to discuss matters excepted under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 121.111.

 

OSU-Lima welcomes artist Kyle Staver

LIMA — OSU-Lima is holding an opening reception for Kyle Staver and her artwork from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31 at Farmer Family Gallery in Reed Hall at OSU-Lima, 4240 Campus Drive, Lima. This reception is free and open to the public.
Staver’s artwork will be on display until Oct. 13.
