A man being pursued by police was shot and killed in Waterford, according to reports by WXYZ and WDIV.

Novi resident Domenic Policicchio III was appointed Thursday, June 28, to the Michigan Elevator Safety Board.The board assists the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs with "guidelines, preparation of examinations and issuance of elevator contractor licenses," according to a release from Gov.

Detroit Zoo to host Photo Safari event with prizes

Camera buffs can take part in a new kind of safari next month at the Detroit Zoo and compete to win prizes for their photos.The zoo is offering its first Photo Safari event July 14-15 in partnership with Woodward Camera in Birmingham."Photography can be both a challenging and rewarding adventure, especially when it comes to nature and wildlife," said Ron Kagan, the zoo's executive director and CEO, in a statement Thursday.
