Hancock crash leaves 2 hospitalized

FINDLAY — Two individuals were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay following a two-vehicle accident shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.

 

McComb man faces drug charges after raid at home

McCOMB — A McComb man faces charges of possession of crack cocaine following his arrest Thursday night at his residence.
Larry A. Deal Jr., 50, of 1159 state Route 235, McComb, was arrested at approximately 11 p.m. after a Hancock County drug task force executed a search warrant at the residence that yielded crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and items indicative of drug trafficking.

Doctor joins Findlay medical group

FINDLAY — Neurosurgical Associates of Northwest Ohio has announced that Dr. Jatinder Patti joined its medical team.
Patti completed medical school at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College in Faridkot, India. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Bronx, New York, and completed his neurology residency and fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Massachusetts.

LIMA — The Lima AAUW is hosting its book fair Tuesday, Sept. 5 through Saturday, Sept. 9 in the gym in the back of the old YWCA building, 649 W. Market St., Lima.
The book fair will run through Saturday, Sept. 9. and is open at different times each day:
Tuesday, Sept. 5: 4 to 8 p.m., which is $5 admission day.
Wednesday, Sept. 6: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 7: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., which is a half price sale day.
Friday, Sept. 8: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., $5 for a box, $3 for a bag.

OVI checkpoint scheduled in Findlay tonight

FINDLAY — The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Findlay Police Department and the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, will conduct an OVI checkpoint starting at 9 p.m. today on Tiffin Avenue in Findlay.
The checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes, according to a press release issued by the patrol.
