Brimfield superintendent chosen as next leader for Hoopeston Area

HOOPESTON — A Douglas County native will return to East Central Illinois to lead the Hoopeston school district.
At a special meeting Tuesday, the school board unanimously approved hiring Robert Richardson as superintendent.
Richardson, currently superintendent of the Brimfield school district, was granted a two-year contract. His salary for the first year will be $120,000.
