Marathon co-directors continue to look for ways to adapt, improve

The Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon could add a mile run next year to the marathon and relay, half marathon, 10K, 5K and youth run.

CHAMPAIGN — The Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon could add a mile run next year to the marathon and relay, half marathon, 10K, 5K and youth run.
"The mile would be a straight shot on Green Street," said the races' co-director, Jan Seeley.

CHAMPAIGN — At least one person was injured in an exchange of gunfire in west Champaign early Saturday.
A release from Champaign police said officers were called to the 2500 block of West Springfield Avenue at 3:44 a.m. after receiving several calls about shots being fired.
