Bill to legalize recreational pot filed in Illinois Senate

It allows Illinois residents to possess 30 grams of cannabis, 5 grams of cannabis concentrate and 500 milligrams of THC contained in cannabis-infused products. Visitors from other states could possess half of those amounts.

 

No one hurt in fire at Danville home that displaces residents

Fire Capt. Justin Watt said firefighters were called about 8:30 p.m. to a house in the 900 block of Summit Street, where they found flames that had started in the basement and spread to a first-floor bathroom.

Woman dies in 2-vehicle crash at rural intersection northwest of Champaign

Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup said Ilsa L. Walden, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which took place at 12:07 p.m. Monday at Rising and Cardinal roads.
