STAMFORD-A New York woman, angry with her soon-to-be husband’s new girlfriend, allegedly broke into the woman’s West Side home early Sunday and began breaking up the woman’s possessions, police said.

When the resident tried to stop Soriano, she grabbed the woman’s hair and began scratching and spitting in her face, police said.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for New Haven County and a winter weather advisory for Fairfield County.

Snow totals have also increased for Fairfield County.

In Fairfield County, the NWS’s most likely accumulation totals are 6 to 8 inches in Bridgeport, 4 to 6 inches in Greenwich, Stamford and Norwalk.

In Litchfield County, in towns like New Milford, there is also a winter advisory with snow totals expected in the 4-6 inch range.

STAMFORD-A woman who claimed to have run over a pipe bomb in her car and brought the device into Stamford police headquarters causing a needless scare at the end of November, was charged with shoplifting Wednesday.

Police stopped the vehicle being driven by Anna Jack, 30, who locked the doors of her car, refusing the police officer’s commands to step out.

The device Jack brought into Stamford police headquarters early in the morning of Nov 30, turned out to be some construction debris and not explosives.

The department’s crime scene investigation truck was called to the scene as well as a light truck to help investigators search for evidence.

The detectives were closely examining the alleyway between the homes where the body was discovered.
