Two killed in Highway 101 collision near Waldport

WALDPORT — Two women were killed in a collision Sunday on Highway 101 north of Waldport. Oregon State Police say their van collided with a trailer that fishtailed and broke loose from an oncoming pickup truck.

 

Bend beer lover makes brew for dogs, Dawg Grog

BEND — Daniel Keeton works at Bend’s Boneyard Brewery tasting room and is a beer lover. He also loves his dog, Lola Jane. So Keeton decided to make some hooch for the pooch. He calls it Dawg Grog. KTVZ reports ( http://bit.ly/UB3pFZ ) there’s no alcohol in the doggie brew.

 

Woman killed in Highway 207 collision

PENDLETON — Oregon State Police say a woman was killed in a collision Sunday on Highway 207 just south of Interstate 84 in Umatilla County. The woman was attempting to pass a flatbed truck when it made a left turn. She died at the scene.

WALDPORT — Two women died this morning when the van they were traveling in was struck by a fishtailing flatbed trailer along Highway 101 about two miles north of Waldport, Oregon State Police said. The victims’ names were to be released Monday pending notification of kin.

State sued over alleged abuse of foster child

An attorney for a 12-year-old Eugene boy is seeking more than $500,000 from the state in a lawsuit that alleges the boy was sexually abused while in foster care. The boy’s name is not disclosed in the suit, which was filed in Lane County Circuit Court.
