Oregon track and field coach Robert Johnson, two members of his coaching staff, and three newcomers to Oregon Track Club Elite are among the special guests Tuesday at the first of seven TrackTown Tuesday events. The public is invited to attend the one-hour meeting which begins at 7 p.m.

 

Officials confirm ID of body found along Dorena Lake

Lane County officials have confirmed that a body found last Wednesday on the north side of Dorena Lake was that of Brian Trumbo, a 27-year-old man who went missing in Douglas County last month. Dr.

Stabbing suspect freed from jail

A homeless woman who allegedly stabbed a boyfriend last Thursday in a transient camp near Cottage Grove was released Sunday from the Lane County Jail for “capacity based” reasons, jail records show. Colleen Aanell Barry, 41, was initially jailed on a first-degree assault charge in connection with the incident.

 

Eugene police reschedule viewing of stolen goods

Eugene police will allow recent crime victims to peruse a huge haul of stolen items during a property viewing scheduled for Thursday at the department’s Property Control Unit, at 125 N. Garfield St.

 

Council to appoint interim member

The Eugene City Council today is scheduled to appoint either Greg Evans or Tony Brandt as an interim councilor to represent west Eugene. Councilors will meet at noon in the Bascom Room of the Public Library, 100 W. 10th Ave., to make the selection.
