State accuses charter school founders of fraud

PORTLAND — Two men who started a chain of taxpayer-funded charter schools across Oregon — two of them in Lane County — have been accused of cheating the state out of $17 million.

Oregonians Credit Union to close Eugene branch

Oregonians Credit Union said Friday it will close its Eugene branch on March 1. The Milwaukie-based credit union said that the decision was based on declining transaction volume, loan demand and new business.
