Eugene police arrest three in stolen pickup case

Eugene police tracked down a stolen pickup and arrested three men this morning, shortly after emergency dispatchers fielded a series of calls regarding suspicous circumstances. The suspects are identified as Dean Sturgill, 55; Charles Jack Tresch, 30; and Joseph Airon Masters, 36.

Driver stabbed at Columbia River Gorge viewpoint

CORBETT, Ore. — A commercial truck driver told Oregon State Police he was stabbed when he parked at a viewpoint on Interstate 84 in the Columbia River Gorge east of Corbett. The man suffered minor injuries to his hand, arm and stomach in the assault early Friday, just after midnight.
