Gleb Tsipursky: Protesters from both sides behaved badly in Charlottesville

“I think there is blame on both sides, and I have no doubt about it,” President Donald Trump said about the violence at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The statement has been roundly denounced by Democrats and Republicans alike. Still, Trump’s words have some truth that we cannot simply wish away, and a broader context provides more clarity on where the president is right, and where he is not.

Chicago Tribune: Others will have to provide the leadership Trump has not

AUG. 18, 2017 — We’ll state from the outset that we are deeply distressed by our president’s cynical political calculations. By his meanness of tone and erratic behavior. By his serially insensitive reactions to the violent white supremacy rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, that has stained America and hurt many Americans.

Solar eclipse dazzles Lima spectators

LIMA — It may have only lasted at its peak for a few minutes, but Monday’s solar eclipse had many Americans, including many in Lima, looking to the skies.
The first total solar eclipse viewable in the United States since 1979 cast a shadow from coast to coast, working its way through 14 states from Oregon to South Carolina. In Lima, the moon did not blot the sun out completely, but viewers still witnessed more than 80 percent of the sun removed from view, leaving only a thin crescent still viewable through the many eclipse glasses in use.

St. Rita’s health focus: Sleep tips to get your kids ready for a successful school year

Sometime back in July most parents were given a list of school supplies for the upcoming year. Specific descriptions of just the right paper, pencils, crayons and calculators were provided to get them ready to start a new school year. However, on that list they did not find one of the most essential supplies students of all ages need. They were not given the key to unlocking a vital component in the success of their child’s school year. That being the key to preparing their child for a good night’s sleep following a long summer of sleeping in and staying up late.

For many women, breast pain resolves on its own over time and you may not need any treatment. However, while there is little research to show the effectiveness of these self-care remedies, some may be worth a try:
• Use hot or cold compresses on your breasts.
• Wear a firm support bra, fitted by a professional if possible.
• Wear a sports bra during exercise, especially when your breasts may be more sensitive.
• Experiment with relaxation therapy, which can help control the high levels of anxiety associated with severe breast pain.
