Body, car found northeast of Chemult

A hunter discovered a body today northeast of Chemult, along with a car belonging to a Bend man reported missing on Sept. 6.The Klamath County Major Crime Team is investigating the death.

Woman arrested in gun incident

A woman who deputies say fired a gun during a dispute with her brother-in-law was arrested and jailed on Friday, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.Rosa Olamendi, 63, of Bend, was jailed on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and menacing.Deputies responded to the 2100 block of Obsidian Avenue on Bend’s east side shortly before noon.
