Bureau of Land Management is using safety concerns as an excuse to limit media access to wild horse roundups across the West in violation of the First Amendment.The National Press Photographers Association and more than a dozen newspaper companies joined the committee in a friend-of-the-court brief filed in the 9th Circuit U.S.

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is fining a company that owned a La Pine gas station, saying the company was late in filing an annual report.Fred Morrow Inc. is being fined $3,300, according to the DEQ. The gas station is at the La Pine Mini Mart at 52530 U. S. Highway 97. The company is required to file a report by Feb. 15 each year, but DEQ officials say it didn’t until late August this year.
