Providence Animal Center Pet of the Week: Bruce

1-year-old male Mixed BreedSay hello to Bruce, the very loving homeless young man who is waiting for someone to change his life forever. Bruce is a medium-sized dog, with a light tan coat. He was rescued from a southern overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where he is waiting for the love he has always wanted.

4-year-old male Domestic Shorthair Meet Bernard, the friendly orange cat who is looking for someone who will love him inside and out. Bernard has super soft fur and has cute orange eyes that stand out in your heart. Bernard was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where he is being a good kitty boy until someone falls in love with him.

 

PLDP Pet of the Week: Duke

Hi my name is Duke and I am the pet of the week. I was recently surrendered to a local animal shelter when my owner passed away. I was scared in the shelter and luckily PLDP stopped by and scooped me up. A little about myself. I am a nine year old distinguished guy. Adorably distinguished of course! I am house-trained.

PHS and the HBE Foundation Help Plant 'Trees for Chester'

CHESTER >> "Trees for Chester," a three-year project funded by the HBE Foundation and coordinated by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, enters its second year of inviting Chester residents to learn about tree care in exchange for a free tree to plant in their own yard. Last May, PHS hosted the first abridged session of its acclaimed Tree Tenders program exclusively for Chester residents and will host a second training later this summer.

 

'Spacelab' Exhibition is now open at the National Liberty Museum

Media's Martha Chamberlain transistions from ballet dancer to costume designer

For its current summer program, Ballet X, which specializes in contemporary ballet, presents three world premieres by award-winning choreographers. Performances at the Wilma Theater in Center City starts July 11 and continues through July 22.One of the premieres is a piece by choreographer Penny Saunders with original music by composer Rosie Langabeer.
