Mom guilty in prison drug-smuggling scam

MEDIA COURTHOUSE >> A 52-year-old Philadelphia woman was convicted on drug distribution, contraband and criminal use of communication facility charges for sneaking Suboxone to her incarcerated son.Janette Ortiz, of the 2800 block of North Third Street in Philadelphia, has two previous convictions for delivery of a controlled substance and faces a mandatory minimum two years of incarceration on the contraband charge, according to a release from Delaware County District Attorney Katayoun Copeland.
