Roselawn Manor to hold Ice Cream Social

SPENCERVILLE — Roselawn Manor in Spencerville will hold an Ice Cream Social from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 in the community room of the assisted living facility.
The event will give the community a chance to meet with the facility’s new administrator, Sierra Saylor. Ice cream will be provided by The Creamery of Delphos.

VFW Post 1275 plans Friday night dinners

LIMA — The Veterans of Foreign War Post 1275 is hosting a series of dinners on Friday nights for the month of September. A broasted chicken dinner will be held at 5 p.m., Sept. 8, at the VFW, 124 E. Elm St., Lima. Price is $8 and the public is welcome.
Carry-out is available for the dinners, which open at 5 p.m. on Fridays.
Future dinners include:
• All you can eat fish dinner, 5 p.m. Sept. 15
• Baked steak dinner, 5 p.m. Sept. 22

Temple Christian student earns accolades at Ohio State Fair

LIMA — Hunter Reprogle, 13, earned a trophy and ribbon at the Ohio State Fair.
Reprogle earned the Ohio State Fair Clock Trophy for shotgun, which is a-first place honor for exhibitors. He also received an Outstanding of the Day ribbon.
He is the son of Jeff and Leah Reprogle, of Lima. Reprogle has been a member of the Allen County 4-H Sharp Shooting Sports Program for three years. He is a junior leader for the Allen County 4-H program.

 

Impact of concussions explored at Lifetree Cafe

VAN WERT — Lifetree Cafe is exploring the topic of the impact of concussions from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Bachwell Center, 116 N. Washington St., Van Wert.
