St. Rose Receives Award For Early Development

LIMA — St. Rose Catholic School in Lima has been recognized by the State of Ohio, receiving the Three-Star Step Up to Quality Award. Step Up to Quality is a rating system for learning and development programs in Ohio, with ratings going from one to five stars. To qualify for a three-star award, a program must require administrators to attend 20 hours of specialized training every two years, hire teachers with higher qualifications, use self-assessments for classroom practice, create activity plans in line with Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards and works with families to develop goals for children. “St.
