Geneva motorcyclist dies in Madison Township crash

A 47-year-old Geneva man was killed in a Madison Township crash involving his motorcycle and an SUV. According to Madison Township police, the crash occurred at the intersection of N. Ridge Road and Green Road around 2:30 p.m. Aug. 24. A preliminary investigation found that Richard Ferrari was traveling west bound on N.

Painesville man faces burglary, other charges

A 25-year-old Painesville man arrested in connection with an alleged Aug. 22 offense appeared in Mentor Municipal Court on Aug. 24, records there show.Luis A. Sandoval, whose arraignment file indicates he lives at 212 E. Prospect St. in Painesville, is charged with first-degree felony aggravated burglary and two first-degree misdemeanor assault counts.

 

Willowick police officer hit by car

A Willowick police officer was struck by a car in the early morning of Aug. 22 while responding to a report of attempted vehicle break-ins.The officer was not seriously injured.On Aug. 22, at about 3:50 a.m., Willowick police received a call reporting that a male was trying to get into cars parked on Lakewick Lane.
