STAMFORD — A New Haven man, who police say is following in his father’s shady footsteps, has been charged with ripping off three city residents for shoddy auto repairs.
Bobby Megel, 28, faces several charges of larceny, illegal sales without a tax receipt and operating a repair shop without a license.
Megel’s father Jimmy, 44, also of New Haven, is serving a 10-year prison sentence in part for taking as much as $138,000 from another 88-year-old Stamford man to fix his 1991 Chevrolet Caprice station wagon back in 2013.
