STAMFORD — Michael Borcina, the contractor involved in the Christmas fire of 2011 that killed three girls and their grandparents, died last week.
Michael Borcina, 58, died from cancer, the Hartford Courant reported.
Borcina was blamed during the investigation into a fire in the Shippan section that killed 9-year-old Lily Badger and 7-year-old twins Sarah and Grace, as well as their grandparents, Lomer and Pauline Johnson. The girls’ mother, Madonna Badger, and Borcina survived.
Borcina was dating Madonna Badger and involved in renovating the home before the fire.
