Philadelphia region's businesses tackle increased sales with Eagles post-season game

It's been a few years since area businesses have had the chance to cash in on the home-town football team's trip to the playoffs.But on Saturday, bars with big screen TVs expect to lure bigger crowds thanks to the Philadelphia Eagles showdown with the Atlanta Falcons.And while some Eagles are miffed to be an underdog in the game after going 13-3 in the regular season, being the top seed, and playing on their home field, businesses aren't complaining.

Providence Animal Center Pet of the Week: Moreno

3-year-old male Mixed Breed Meet Moreno, the special little boy who is looking for a family to make him feel safe and loved for the rest of his life. Moreno has a black and tan, short coat with cute pointy ears. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where he is waiting like a good boy for a family to love him.

 

Providence Animal Center Pet of the Week: Queen Tux

3-year-old female Domestic Medium Hair Say hello to Queen Tux, the elegant and beautiful young medium-haired cat who is looking for a forever family to rule over. She is super polite and loves having her long hair pet and pampered. Queen Tux was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where she is being treated like a queen until her perfect family comes to rescue her.

 

PLDP Pet of the Week: Victor

Victor is a 1-year old german shepherd mix. He is only 25 pounds, so he is the perfect dog for any family. Victor is house trained and crate trained. He is good with dogs, cats and kids of all ages. He loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home. Victor loves going on walks and taking hikes.

 

AFL Pet of the Week: Smudge

Petite and darling Smudge is no more than 2-years old. She was discovered in a kindly neighbor's yard out in the cold, acting all friendly and hungry, of course. She was promptly whisked off to be spayed and vetted and placed in temporary foster. Smudge is healthy, playful and active, up to date on her shots and all vet care, and ready to be the perfect companion.

 

Francisvale Pet of the Week: Lulu

Back in the day, it was not unusual to hear someone refer to a remarkable event as a "lulu" of a situation. Well, to be a little retro here, do we have a Lulu of a pup for you! In the words of Rod Stewart, this senior girl "wears it well", livin' and lovin' life to the fullest. If you are in full stride and want a companion who will match you step for step, then you and Lulu will be nothing short of a dynamic duo.
