Arguments about Sunoco's mega-pipeline rage on

The Mariner East 2 pipeline project can produce a visceral reaction from people in the community - often those concerned about safety and quality of life as evidenced in vocal displays of opposition at municipal meetings and elsewhere.There's also a contingent who feel strongly about the positive impact from the project being in Pennsylvania, as outlined in a Sunoco Pipeline-funded economic analysis released recently.

 

Morton gets pitch for medical marijuana dispensary

MORTON >> A former auto body shop may soon get a new life as Delaware County's first medical marijuana dispensary. Matt Darin, chief operating officer of Grassroots, a Highland Park, Ill., company, gave a presentation at council's January meeting, explaining that clients who would come to the dispensary would have to be a patient with a medical marijuana prescription from a physician in order to purchase its product.

 

Letter to the Editor: Some concern about pipeline is too little, too late

To the Editor:I am writing in response to the editorial titled "Economic benefits alone won't resolve pipeline concerns," published Jan. 10. There have been many articles, letters and comments written regarding the Mariner East 2 pipeline over the past several months. I do not wish to re-address many of the concerns that citizens have voiced, although I do believe that persistent, public engagement can and should make elected officials take notice.
