REPORT: Upper Darby man shot walking mom's dog in North Philly

According to reports, an Upper Darby man is in critical condition after being shot twice while walking his mother's dog around 11 p.m. yesterday at 7th and Wallace streets in North Philadelphia.Police say the 54-year-old victim was visiting his mother and went out to walk her dog when he was approached by two men who shot him in the neck and chest.

Villanova football players face trial in alleged Lower Merion assault

NORRISTOWN >> Two Villanova football players, including one who just last week signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, and a female friend face a trial in Montgomery County Court later this year in connection with the alleged assault of a man in a bathroom at a Lower Merion bar. Malik Ki-Jana Reaves, 22, a former Villanova defensive back, Adeyemi C.

 

Yeadon's Edward Archer gets extended sentence for ambush shooting of officer Jesse Hartnett

PHILADELPHIA >> A man convicted of ambushing a Philadelphia police officer with a hail of gunfire in the name of the Islamic State group has been sentenced to several decades in prison.Edward Archer of Yeadon was ordered Monday to serve 48#xbd; to 97 years.A jury convicted Archer in February of attempted murder, aggravated assault and other charges stemming from the January 2016 shooting of Officer Jesse Hartnett, a East Lansdowne native, in his patrol car.

Providence Animal Center Pet of the Week: Cosmo

7-month-old male Mixed Breed Say hello to Cosmo, the happy-go-lucky young boy who is looking for a loving forever home. Cosmo is mostly black, with white spots on his face. He was rescued from a southern overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where he is hanging out with his friends until a permanent home comes his way.
