Nearly a year after a 34-year-old Painesville man was killed in the city, the community is still clamoring for justice. Elliot A. Spikes was shot in the 130 block of West Jackson Street and died from his injuries on Aug.

"A History of the Medal of Honor" will be presented at 7 p.m., July 26, at the Wickliffe Public Library, 1713 Lincoln Road. One killed in Willoughby house fire

One person died in an early morning fire July 25 in Willoughby. The fire was fully involved when crews arrived at the 37850 Erie Road home, said Willoughby Assistant Fire Chief Scott Mlakar. The cause of the fire and its origin are under investigation.
