Around this time every year, I review the Rockies’ numbers, looking for statistics, rankings and trends. It paints a black-and-white picture of the just-completed season. In the case of the 2024 Rockies, it wasn’t pretty. A primary example: Colorado’s .242 average, .304 on-base percentage and .704 OPS were all the lowest in franchise history, while its 1,617 strikeouts were the most in club history.

A multi-vehicle crash has closed southbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs, prompting a warning of “long delays” for weekend travelers from Colorado’s Department of Transportation. The crash occurred near the exit for South Circle Drive and Lake Avenue. It was announced at 10:21 a.m. by CDOT. Colorado Springs police wrote in a social media post at 10:32 a.m.

A single-vehicle crash left one person dead near northbound Sante Fe Drive and Interstate 25 in Denver early Saturday morning, according to police. He said the driver and one passenger escaped without serious injuries, while the other passenger was declared dead at the scene. Barnes added that, as of 9:30 a.m., the crash was still being investigated by police and that it was too soon to say whether speed or other factors contributed to the crash. In the lead up to the presidential election, candidates Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have taken to appearing on podcasts to engage with potential voters. According to Jeff Gulati, a political science professor at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass., Harris and Trump’s podcast appearances are simply another part of their larger campaign and communication strategy. A man was ejected from his truck and died Friday night after losing control of the vehicle and striking the roadway median, according to Commerce City police. Police said in a social media post that officers responded at about 11 p.m. to the rollover crash, which occurred on Quebec Street just south of 64th Avenue.
