A multi-vehicle crash has closed southbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs, prompting a warning of “long delays” for weekend travelers from Colorado’s Department of Transportation. He said the driver and one passenger escaped without serious injuries, while the other passenger was declared dead at the scene. Barnes added that, as of 9:30 a.m., the crash was still being investigated by police and that it was too soon to say whether speed or other factors contributed to the crash. A man was ejected from his truck and died Friday night after losing control of the vehicle and striking the roadway median, according to Commerce City police. Police said in a social media post that officers responded at about 11 p.m. to the rollover crash, which occurred on Quebec Street just south of 64th Avenue.
