He's a brilliant visual stylist, but the knock on Zack Snyder as a director is that he too often neglects real storytelling in favor of pretty pictures. The latest Man of Steel trailer, however, suggests he may have made a quantum leap as a filmmaker.

Up, up, and away! Zack Snyder faced an uphill battle with Man of Steel -- Superman really hasn't been a hot cinematic property since Richard Pryor made us line up for Superman III -- but this new trailer makes it look like he's ready to atone for his Sucker Punch sins with a movie that, against all odds, makes Superman super again.

Well, this is unexpected: Arnold Schwarzenegger's comeback tour will apparently include a detour back through the Hyborian Age. Schwarzenegger is reportedly set to star in The Legend of Conan, which screenwriter and co-producer Chris Morgan describes as "Conan's Unforgiven." (Lest you scoff at that notion, he also promises that it will be "a worthy successor to the original film.")

Now that the trailer is out for Dredd, I think there's enough footage of the movie to safely pass judgment on the movie regardless of what director Pete Travis and writer Alex Garland may have suggested in their joint statement about withholding it until seeing the finished product in its entirety. The Munsters are on their way back to Mockingbird Lane, and they finally have a dad. According to TVLine, Jerry O'Connell has been cast as Herman Munster in "Mockingbird Lane," the NBC reboot of the 1960s sitcom "The Munsters." The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed this report.

As a little bit of background, The Amazing Spider-Man is a reboot of the franchise starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Peter's girlfriend Gwen Stacy.

Word is that Battle: Los Angeles director Jonathan Liebesman is in talks to direct the franchise reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Unlike the last Turtles movie, the new one will be a live-action origin story of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so we'll get to see once again how the Turtles came to be. Paramount Pictures will be distributing.
