There is little denying the media appeal of Lara Croft. For years, the sexy adventurer has appeared in various media spin-offs, including multiple comic runs. On Thursday, Square Enix and Dark Horse announced that not only will we see another comic series, but also a 48-page omnibus titled "Tome Raider: The Beginning."

It looks as if the reported TOMB RAIDER reboot is moving ahead as COWBOYS & ALIENS and IRON MAN writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby have signed on to write a Lara Croft based script. Producer Graham King (THE DEPARTED) made a deal for the rights from Eidos in March and is serious about launching a new franchise.

Not long ago, we received an email with a subject line that read, simply, "I am the new Lara Croft." The image above -- which you can check out in larger form down below -- shows a mysterious actress holding an image of Lara Croft up to her eyes. Obviously this is totally post-worthy since she has, well, a pair of really sexy eyes ... but dammit if we can't figure out who she is.
