Two Savannah men convcted in 2014 abduction-rape near City Market

Two Savannah men on Tuesday were convicted on rape and kidnapping charges in the November 2014 attack on a woman near City Market.
Andy Fabricio Carcamo Maradiaga, 23, and Castro Eric Reyes, 28, were convicted by a Chatham County Superior Court jury before Judge Louisa Abbot.
Sentencing will be held at a future date. Both defendants will remain in jail pending sentencing.
Evidence presented by Assistant District Attorney Lindretta Grindle Kramer showed the victim, a Liberty County woman, was celebrating her 21st birthday on Nov. 30, 2014,in downtown Savannah.
