The week started with record highs, but an approaching cool front will bring more seasonal temperatures for the weekend.
On Monday the high temperature at Augusta's Bush Field reached 89 degrees, tying the record high from 1961. According to the National Weather Service, the normal high temperature for the first week of November is in the low 70s.
The Climate Prediction Center's latest one- and three-month outlooks, which were released in late October, predict more above normal temperatures and below normal rainfall.
