ALBANY, N.Y. — The U.S. Marshals are seeking the public’s help in locating accused rapist Michael Hawkins, who allegedly sexually assaulted a wheelchair bound victim in her Schenectady, New York, apartment while her loved ones slept only feet away.

The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police’s robbery unit is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 10 p.m., Wednesday near 44th Street and Barnard Street. The three victims were packing a moving van when two armed suspects approached them and demanded money, said Sonny Cohrs, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman.

Frederic Green, 39, has turned his life around after serving time in prison in the 1990s for peddling drugs on Savannah’s streets. Now Green is trying to help others in danger of being locked up or killed escape the criminal lifestyle.
