He pleaded guilty Thursday to drunken driving, possessing instruments of crime, and impersonating a public servant.Police say Shaulis used a flashing blue light bar, parked diagonally across state Route 601 and set up road flares about 4 a.m. on May 30.

A 44-year-old Clyo man accidentally shot himself and his dog while he was cleaning his gun.
Todd A. Crouse was talking on the phone with a friend and cleaning his gun when the accident occurred at his house on Arnsdorff Loop in the Clyo area, at 10 p.m. March 22, according to a report from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.
Crouse said he unknowingly reloaded by putting in the magazine while he was reassembling the gun. Then he said he pulled the slide of the gun back, but he still had his finger on the trigger so the gun went off.
