STAMFORD — A city man with a lengthy criminal record is back in jail after police found him Thursday with heroin, crack cocaine, cash and a pistol, authorities said.

Though water is visible on both sides of the bottle, the sophisticated container allows smugglers to conceal drugs in the area behind the label, the captain said.

After the arrest, police searched Elis’s Ivy Street home, where they found a semi-automatic .40 caliber pistol loaded with 10 rounds, another 40 rounds and nearly $2,100 in cash, Conklin said.

STAMFORD — Police are searching for two men who robbed a pizza deliveryman at gunpoint at an East Side apartment complex Thursday evening.

In October, at least two Chinese food delivery drivers were robbed in similar incidents on Connecticut Avenue.

The incident began about 5 p.m. when one of the two men tried to buy a product at a Sprint phone store, 53 High Ridge Road, under another person’s name, according to the report.

The two men were taken into custody without incident and were each charged with conspiracy at third-degree identity theft, conspiracy at third-degree forgery and two counts each of third-degree identity theft and second-degree forgery.

Kelly, who was driving, was also charged with engaging police in a pursuit, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving.

When officers arrived, two adult dogs were tied to a tree and two puppies were in an “extremely dirty” outdoor pent, Lt. Nick Montagnese said.

Police said the adults dogs were released to the owner, but the puppies remain in Animal Control custody.
