The Lake Orion Gazebo Concert Series will offer free concerts on Wednesday nights until Aug. 29. The concerts will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Children's Park in downtown Lake Orion. Everyone attending the concerts will be eligible to win a different prize each week, provided by local downtown merchants.

The next Miss Oakland County will be crowned this Saturday, July 14 at Oakland University. It's the 44th year for the scholarship pageant, which serves as the preliminary to Miss Michigan and the Miss America Scholarship Organization. A traffic stop in Pontiac early Tuesday morning resulted in the recovery of a car reported stolen a day earlier in the city, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said.A deputy patrolling the area of Cameron Avenue and N. Perry Street pulled over the vehicle, a 2007 Honda Accord, for a traffic violation.

The Oakland County Health Division said the county has had 18 confirmed cases of Legionnaires' disease in 2018. Officials said all 18 cases have sought treatment and have either fully recovered or are currently recovering. There have been no reported deaths. According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, there have been 135 confirmed cases of legionellosis reported in 33 counties in 2018, compared to 107 confirmed cases during the same timeframe last year.
