A special education basketball team from Pontiac has won the silver medal in the national 2018 Special Olympics Games. The 10 players of the Kennedy Panthers, the basketball team for Pontiac School District's special education school the Kennedy Center, traveled to Seattle to compete with 3,500 other athletes in the games.

Multiple drunk driving incidents reported in Rochester

Multiple drunk driving incidents were reported last week in Rochester. According to Rochester police, the first incident occurred on July 1. Rochester officers were dispatched to the area of Main and University after a caller reported that a bicyclist has been struck by a pickup truck. Police said the bicyclist sustained minor injuries and the officers completed an accident investigation that revealed that the bicyclist has legally used the crosswalk when struck by the vehicle.
