While most of us are flipping down our car visors, bracing ourselves against the setting sun as we navigate the after-work traffic on highways and byways thrughout the region, we lose sight of the beauty that light is painting across the skyline of our landscape. Tyrrell Park and Cattail Marsh in Beaumont were bathed in that light Wednesday as the sun set, its marsh grasses giving way to a kaleidoscope of color in the waters surrounding them, dragon flies feasting on the clouds of gnats that hovered above, and the moss-bedraggled trees silhoutted in colorful form as night approached.
