Reward offered in poaching case

The Oregon Hunters’ Association is offering a reward of up to $500 for information about two poached deer found Tuesday northeast of Bend on Bureau of Land Management land.The deer were found at 9:30 a. m. by a Bend city employee at the end of McGrath Road, north of the Bend Municipal Airport, according to Oregon State Police.

Fire department investigates blaze

Crook County Fire & Rescue responded early Monday afternoon to a home engulfed in flames on Riggs Road in Powell Butte.Firefighters arrived after 1 p. m. and had the fire contained by early evening.
