Cantina Diablos bar and restaurant in Royal Oak's downtown will soon be turned into a Diamond's Steak and Seafood restaurant if city officials approve.Brian Kramer, owner of the location and the Red Fox English Pub on the second floor, is entering a partnership for the new restaurant with Adam Merkel, according to a city police report on a requested change of operations for the liquor-licensed establishment.

 

Fire station closed due to safety concerns

Chesterfield Township's fire station on Jefferson Avenue has been temporarily closed as officials evaluate the structural condition and needs of the nearly 50-year-old building.Officials said the temporary closure and staff reallocation will not result in substantial delayed response times or reductions in fire department personnel, equipment and services.

Sterling Heights slaying victim was 'lovely' woman, stunned neighbor says

The woman killed in her Sterling Heights apartment this week during a family dispute was a "lovely" woman whose death has stunned nearby tenants, a neighbor said Wednesday."I'm still in shock," added Kyle Duncan, who lives three doors from where the 41-year-old woman was found dead Tuesday afternoon in the 44400 block of Pine Avenue in the Lakeside Terraces Apartments.
