Kobe scores big again, lifts Lakers to OT win

Kobe Bryant, who scored 48 points Tuesday, scored 40 and Andrew Bynum blocked Al Jefferson's shot with 1.9 seconds left in overtime to lift the Los Angeles Lakers to a 90-87 victory over Utah on Wednesday night.

Nowitzki lifts Mavericks past Celtics

Delonte West dribbled down the clock and then did what a Dallas point guard does: He got the ball to Dirk Nowitzki for the winner. Nowitzki drove past Kevin Garnett for the go-ahead layup with 5.1 seconds left, scoring 16 points Wednesday night to lead the Mavericks to a 90-85 victory over the Boston Celtics.

Wright leads Warriors past Heat 111-106 in OT

Dorell Wright scored 20 points and made a season-high six 3-pointers, including a tying shot late in regulation, and the short-handed Golden State Warriors spoiled Dwyane Wade's return with a 111-106 overtime victory over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night....

Kobe scores 48, Lakers continue home rule

Kobe Bryant scored 48 points — his fifth straight game with 25 or more — and the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Phoenix Suns 99-83 Tuesday night to win their seventh straight at home and third in a row overall.

Senh: Damn. Kobe Bryant still has it, even after a couple knee surgeries and treatments.

Hawks hand Heat first loss of season

Joe Johnson scored 21 points, Tracy McGrady hit a pair of big 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and the Atlanta Hawks ended Miami's perfect start by beating the Heat 100-92 on Monday night.

Senh: Miami Heat looked formidable in their first five victories. The Atlanta Hawks brought them down to earth again. With their athletic players, the Hawks are a good match up again the Heat. I wonder how long McGrady, with his bad back and knees, will last with them.

Defending champion Mavs finally get 1st win

Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks expect offense from top scorer Dirk Nowitzki. Reserve center Ian Mahinmi provided a surprising bonus. Mahinmi scored a career-high 19 points, Nowitzki contributed 18, and the reigning NBA champion Mavericks rallied for their first victory of the season, 99-86 over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

Senh: Toronto Raptors is a weak team, but a win's win. Dallas Mavericks are starting the season looking like a one-time champ. I don't think they're gonna repeat.

Durant nets 32 as Thunder stay perfect

Kevin Durant scored 32 points, James Harden added 20, and the
Oklahoma City Thunder remained undefeated with a 98-95 victory over
the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

PBT: So far, the Lakers are winless — and clueless

Los Angeles Lakers: Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol

The bottom line is the Lakers are 0-2 after falling 100-91 to Sacramento Tuesday. That is two games in a row where they played poorly at the end (they blew an 11 point lead Sunday, scored on basket in the final three minutes Monday).

Senh: What a satisfying win for the Sacramento Kings.
