James Cameron may direct The Informationist after the two Avatar sequels for Fox, Deadline has learned. The movie is an adaptation of Taylor Stevens' 2011 novel of the same name which centers on an information broker named Vanessa Michael Munroe who is hired by a Texas oil tycoon to find her missing daughter in Africa. Once there, she is cut off from civilization and has to rely on her skills to survive.

Back in June, Sigourney Weaver revealed that the three Avatar sequels are going to be shooting back-to-back-to-back, but it looks like that's no longer the case. Speaking with the Courier Post (via Comingsoon), producer Jon Landau said “[w]e doing two back-to-back, but not a third.”
