The Low-cost Airline Battle Between Avelo And Breeze Is Heating Up In Connecticut

An Avelo Airlines Boeing 737-800.Joe Scarnici/Getty Images for Avelo Air Low-cost carrier Avelo Airlines is adding three new routes out of its New Haven base in Southern Connecticut. The new routes, none of which are to Florida, make Avelo the carrier with the most nonstops from the state. The announcement further fuels the competition with rival Breeze Airways, which is establishing a base in Hartford. Newcomer Avelo Airlines is adding more nonstop flights out of Connecticut, further fueling the low-cost battle in the state.
