Bookmark or Share- What does it mean to call someone a "cheap person"?If you want to avoid the negative connotations, the partial synonym is 'frugal'; it may be e.g. because someone has very low income and can't afford any luxuries, getting by on absolute minimum instead. "Cheap" will rather denote someone, who choose to skimp on expenses and pick a worse option for no good reason. –
- What do you call someone who attends the same university as you?A person who attends the same college or university as you, from a more technical perspective, should probably be called your collegemate (college is more or less a general term for an institution of higher education, at least, in North America) rather than your schoolmate, but I wouldn't say that this term is common enough that you will ever hear someone actually say it in real life.
- vocabulary - shore, shoreline, beach, coast, coastline - English ...The example follows: Rimini is a thriving resort on the east cost of Italy. The word coast is broader here. We generally use coast to not to define a particular edge/place as shore. It's anywhere next/close to the sea as the definition says. The same way, 'coastline' is a broader term. If you google it, most of the images give you a bird's view.
