Around this time every year, I review the Rockies’ numbers, looking for statistics, rankings and trends. It paints a black-and-white picture of the just-completed season.

A multi-vehicle crash has closed southbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs, prompting a warning of “long delays” for weekend travelers from Colorado’s Department of Transportation.

Three people including the driver were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, which officers responded to at about 12:13 a.m., police spokesman Kurt Barnes said.
He said the driver and one passenger escaped without serious injuries, while the other passenger was declared dead at the scene.
Barnes added that, as of 9:30 a.m., the crash was still being investigated by police and that it was too soon to say whether speed or other factors contributed to the crash.
