Authorities have identified the man who died in a house fire in North Augusta on Wednesday evening.
Leotis Sullivan Sr., 69, was pronounced dead at the scene around 9 p.m., according to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton. The fire, which began around 8 p.m., occurred on Woodberry Lane in Belvedere. Sullivan was the owner of the home, Carlton confirmed.
Autopsy results showed that Sullivan died from carbon monoxide poisoning and thermal injury, according to Carlton. He said Sullivan’s death will be ruled accidental.
