Man who brandished gun killed after OSP chase southeast of Sisters

A man who allegedly brandished a gun at Oregon State Police troopers and led them on a chase along U. S. Highway 20 from Suttle Lake to a gravel road southeast of Sisters is dead.According to a news release from the Oregon State Police, around 11:50 a. m. police stopped a vehicle traveling eastbound after a driving complaint.

Redmond Police Department is attempting to catch wanted criminals using its Facebook page.“Wanted Wednesday," as Redmond Police is calling the social media program, is a weekly release of wanted suspect photos in both active and cold cases, according to the department’s Facebook page.

 

Arrest in fatal traffic accident

A Prineville man, who earlier this month allegedly ran a stop sign and hit a motorcyclist who later died, turned himself in on Wednesday after learning of a warrant issued for his arrest.Gerald Green, 36, was arrested by the Oregon State Police and was lodged in the Jefferson County jail on suspicion of criminally negligent homicide and felony failure to perform the duties of a driver.

Power outage scheduled for tonight in south Bend

Approximately 4,900 households on Bend’s south side will have their electricity shut down for approximately six hours tonight, while crews move overhead power lines affected by the Murphy Road Overcrossing project.Pacific Power anticipates power will be out between 11 p. m,. and 5 a. m. in neighborhoods primarily south of Murphy Road, including much of Deschutes River Woods.
