Donations help balance Champaign library's budget, but needs remain

Among them are three more full-time-equivalent positions for an extra security guard and another staff member for the after-school shift and on the service desk — all because the library is performing so well.

CHAMPAIGN — Without any assistance from the city, the Champaign Public Library will once again have a balanced budget, thanks in large part to charitable donations of over $300,000.

No one was injured in the incident Thursday night at Casey's General Store, 2101 E. Main St.

DANVILLE — Police are investigating an armed robbery Thursday at a local gas station.
Cmdr. Josh Webb said officers were called to Casey's General Store, 2101 E. Main St., at 10:46 p.m. When they arrived, employees reported that a man and woman entered the store wearing masks.
