On Friday, the Catholic Diocese of Peoria announced that Sister M. Bridget Martin, of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, would succeed Jason Schreder.

OSF Sacred Heart's ER back to normal after flood repairs finished

DANVILLE — Flood-damage repairs to the emergency room at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville are complete, and it is operating as usual again, the health system announced Friday.
Emergency-department patients can check in at the main ER entrance off Logan Avenue.
The damages were caused by a severe storm resulting in floodwater backup.

URBANA — The mother of a 16-year-old boy killed in a shooting in August in Champaign was confident about the second suspect in the murder, who was brought before a judge Friday.
