Painesville man accused of burglary, theft

A Painesville man arrested in connection with a June 27 incident was arraigned Aug. 17 in Painesville Municipal Court on a pair of felony charges, his legal documents state.Jeffrey W. Ball, whose address appears in his arraignment paperwork as 439 S. St. Clair St., is accused of trespassing at a Perry Township address to commit a theft offense and is accused of stealing more than $2,000 cash, according to signed affidavits.

 

Mentor Public Library hosts program on chalk drawing

Youths - from scribblers to pavement Picassos - can let their chalk do the talking during the#xa0;Chalk Art#xa0;program at 2 p.m., Aug. 25, at Mentor Public Library's Headlands Branch, 4669 Corduroy Road in Mentor.First, children will learn about famous chalk artist Julian Beever. Perry Township trustees will consider new rules for owning chickens

Perry Township trustees will take the next step in considering new rules for owning chickens in certain subdivisions in the community.The township Zoning Commission on Aug. 15 voted unanimously to send a list of zoning text amendments to trustees for further consideration. Trustees will hold a public hearing on the amendments and then vote on whether to approve the measures.
