The Friends of Mentor Public Library are hosting a Mystery Dinner Fundraiser on Sept. 29, at#xa0;Red Wine & Brew, 9620 Old Johnnycake Ridge Road#xa0;in Mentor.Amateur sleuths can have fun and raise money for a good cause while trying to solve a tropical murder mystery, according to a news release.

 

Mentor library hosting family-friendly concert

Travelin' Man Band will perform a free and family-friendly concert at 2:30 p.m., Sept. 1, at Mentor Public Library's#xa0;Lake#xa0;Branch. 5642 Andrews Road in Mentor-on-the-Lake.They perform hits from the 1950's, '60's and '70's, from Buddy Holly to Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival to Crosby Stills Nash &Young, according to a news release.

Eastlake Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run Aug. 10According to police, shortly after 3 p.m., a green van was traveling in the center lane on Route 2 approaching the Route 91 bridge. Painesville police respond to shooting at Cedarbrook Drive residence

Painesville Police officers responded to a call of a shooting at 152 Cedarbrook Drive, Painesville, at 4:14 p.m. Aug. 13, the department reports. SWAT was called in shortly after to assist.A male and female are believed to be involved in the incident, according to the department.
